Anyone got a paddle???
So... where to begin...
Boat began falling apart again... First the strop
to hold down the clew broke, Again! but we fixed it, Again... then we noticed
the Jib Halyard which has been a bit of a cause for concern for a while, has
actually sheared away at the top shackle, so the jib is currently being held up,
well as if by magic really...
Then at approximately 2am this morning, Anthony
looked up at the main sail to discover it had ripped itself to shreds.... the
whole top 6 foot had a massive rip right across and its ripped in a couple
of other places too...
Now I, Alexa, HATE sewing... I dropped needlework
classes at school in preference to Latin...and yet since sunrise this morning
Anthony and I have been sewing away... nearly two hours to repair the first
minor rip... its going to be a long day....
and after we're finished with the sail Im
going to spend tomorrow making paddles out of the mahogony bar that is in
the saloon...the rate we'regoing I think we're going to need them!!!
