Sweetest Thing

Wednesday evening,
Its all very calm, i just watched a very bizarre sunset with no clouds in the sky, just a big orange sun dissappear behind the horizon, and now we have a rainbow effect speading from red at the horizon to an indigo sky... its lovely very serene.. the wind is right behind us and has dropped to barely a force 1, the swell, even though its still 1.5 metres is in a big roll now so the motion is lovely will rock me to sleep nicely i feel.
Today has been a busy day, I did the engine check on both engines, (just call me Lex the Mechanic!!) and you will be happy to hear they both seem to be in good condition.
then i ciffed all the stainless steel... yesterday whilst making Spag Bol we went over a big bit of swell and crashed down just as i was opening a tin of tomatoes, ouch.. i cut my hand on the tin...not badly but enough that it made rubbing Cif on salty stainless steel a little painful...
In other news, the list of things overboard is now  1 dustpan brush and one bucket... I did say we should tie the bucket on when we use it because otherwise when you go over a wave and it catches it will pull you over or you let know.. i speak from experience...but did the boys listen to me?? no!?!  anyway i think as it was greg that dropped both objects i think he's buying the first round of beers when we hit american soil..
Other interesting facts, Anthony saw a ship!!!! last night on watch, the last one we saw was 7 days ago...
Anthony has been making bread... today was his third attempt and I think its fair to say he has nailed it... loaf 1 he forgot to put the salt in so it was nice but didnt have that flavour factor.. loaf 2 was a bit wet dough and as a result came out still a bit stodgy and doughy in places, but loaf 3... well just call him Mr Warburton because it is delicious, we had a slice with butter (or apricot jam if you prefer) with our afternoon tea and it was yummy scrummy!!!!
phew what a lot of news... tomorrow ill try to  keep it short...Love to all..

Thursday
Piccadilly Circus here!!! Another ship, also headed east, last night and then this morning a big RoRo ship headed west. I think we are on the shipping equivalent of the 15 bus route - nothing for ages then they all come at once!

We are skirting round the south side of a big low which had brought us a fairly overcast day today.

Big treat for lunch today - Alexa is making us Soup de Poisson plus bread followed by stuffed jacket potatoes. Good job because today is a 25 hour day - we are changing the ship's clocks today. Greg has pulled the short straw and is doing the extra hour in his lunchtime watch (I did it last time, and get to put my feet up this time!)
