position 64:53N 052:12W at anchor in the bay of
Inderhavn Touqussaq.
We finally set off after two weeks in Nuuk. we said
good bye to Young Larry and Catryn (the only boats still there!) and said
goodbye to Lars Fredsbo our good friend from Nuuk.(without him we would have
frozen to death! we set off only to get a phone call from Lars to say that he
had forgotten to give us the angle grinder disks (for cutting the rig away when
the mast falls down!!) back in we went, a bows to collection (another 100
krona!) and finally we were free!! 75 n miles going north to an anchorage in a
lovely bay called Inderhavn,Touqussaq. Thick fog as we approached the narrow
channel having passed two or three medium sized icebergs accompanied by a number
of seals. God smiled on us and as we approached the entrance the sun came out
and we could see our way in. A copy book anchorage and set the anchor alarm.
Julie made tacos with salad and copious red wine! Time to sleep with our newly
acquired high tog duvets and blankets and a heater that works!! goodnight and
sweet dreams .Tomorrow we go to
Maniitsoq.
