Saint George is a picturesque island with a small
marina where we spent two days. We completed all the outstanding jobs including
repairing the forward toilet! Cleaned the boat inside and out, provisioned ready
for six people, did nine washes and were ready to sail back to Horta and await
the arrival of Ania and Annie. John and Lesley decided to fly out of Horta
and leave Festina which meant that we had enough food and drink for a small
army! With our new crew members we left Horta for Ponta Delgada on Monday. We
arrived at eight the following morning and rafted up on the fuel quay alongside
Albert and Laura from On Top. It was good to catch up having last seen
them at the end of the Rally. A day looking round the island by bus and we
were back on the road earlier today. We are enjoying a peaceful sail and hope to
get to Madiera on
Saturday.
