We didn't make it to San Francisco and had to pull
in to the Port of Brookings which is on the border between Oregon and California
to wait for a southerly storm to pass through. The bar ( not the one with beer!)
shut just after we got in and stayed shut for three days.Today it is open and
the forcast is much better so we will set off at midday sailing directly to San
Francisco. We hope to arrive on Sunday and have arranged to haul out in Svensons
Yard on Monday. Clean and antifoul, change anodes and strip and clean the prop.
Brookings was a safe place to be but not much to do particularly as it rained
all the time and with winds up to 50 knots oh and
fog.
