We berthed in False Creek Yacht Club in Vancouver
on Sunday at 9pm.We had a great day's sail from Port Angeles to Vancouver but
thinking it was only 50 miles we had a lie in then realised it was 91miles!
Anyway we made it in daylight.We had to go beneath two bridges one of which
Navionics said was 54 feet clearance and the other 88 feet. Our air height is 77
feet.We scraped through and am sure that Navionics need to correct their charts!
Very friendly Marina. Monday we spent cleaning Festina and doing the laundry and
drying. Today provisioning and preparing for John and Carolyn's arrival.This
evening we had a "last supper" in the Stone grill and met a charming Greek
family- Carlos Gambroudes who runs the cottage deli restaurant. We will meet
again when we return to Vancouver in September.Tomorrow we leave for
Alaska.
