Ukraine
arrived in Yalta in the early morning Spent most of
the day checking in to the Ukraine. We did not like Yalta. It is hot, noisy,and
the people are surly and unsmiling. It is a mix of Butlins, Pontins and
Blackpool.The alternator stopped charging and we cannot get spares until Odessa.
It is either the comutator or the brushes or both!
With the help of an agent we completed the
formalities and have permission to sail to Balaclava and Odessa.so we left for
pastures green at 12 the next morning
