position 58:31N 08:54E In Arendal Norway. We
travelled over four days from Esperver to Arendal a distance of 240 n miles with
overnight stops at Egersund (in a marina), Sandayfjorden (at anchor), Lillesand
(in a marina), and finally at anchor near to Gunnar's summer house
Arendal.
We had strong headwinds most of the way and
wherever possible took the inshore passage. This is a great cruising area
in narrow and often shallow channels with summer houses everywhere. In places
the depth went down to 3 metres and the width barely room for Festina to squeeze
through!
We leave Festina at anchor for a few days whilst we
travel by car, train and ferry to explore the interior of Norway.
We probably set sail again in a weeks time heading
for Ellos in Sweden.
