anchored in Loch Scresort on the island of
Rhum.
Donald arrived in the afternoon and we decided to stay the night in Oban .
It was raining cats and dogs and the wind was not very friendly! We set off at
7am and hoped to get to Rhum before the gales arrived . The morning was benign
and we had a good sail up the sound of Mull passing Tobermory and round the
infamous Ardnamurchan point. We anchored in Port Mor on the island of Muck and
went ashore for lunch. By the time we got back to Festina the wind was building
and we made haste to get across to Rhum before the imminent gale arrived. We
dropped the hook with the wind increasing to 35 knots and back came the rain . I
think we will be holed up for 36 hrs before the weather settles down and we can
head across to the sound of sleat and to the isle of
Skye.
