We havn't moved from our place in the harbour since
we arrived on Saturday. We are berthed on the quay with anchor and stern lines
and happillly the anchor is well dug in. The Meltemi has blown non stop for five
days between 25 and 45 knots. Myrnia is not the worst place to be but after a
while the wind gets you down. We rented a car for three days and have explored
the Island. what there is to see is difficult to find and usually shut! Swimming
and sunbathing is good and the town is quite lively with about a dozen yachts
waiting with us. A mixed bag of Swiss, Dutch,Austrian,German,Turkish and Greek.
We have been watching the football and for a change England are still in the
competition!
The forcast looks good for Tomorrow so we will
check out of Limnos and Greece tonight and set off early for the Island of
Bozcaada for the night and check in to Turkey.
We then sail through the Dardanelles and the sea of
Marmara hoping to arrive at Setur Yalova Marina, which is a ferry ride to
Istanbul, on the 25th. Yalova is half the price of Atakoy marina and we will
move over to Atakoy on the 3rd of July ready to pick up Dave and Ania for our
trip into the Black Sea.
