We set sail from Yacht Club Peruano at 1400 hrs
heading for the Galapagos Islands.
We enjoyed our time in Peru and the people were
friendly and helpful.Thank you to Jaime Ackermann,Gonzalo de Ravago and to
Jessica and Philippe and the boys.The highlight of our stay was a four day trip
by plane to Cusco and Macchu Pichu.Simply magical.We also had a day sightseeing
in Lima and Miraflores.
Daria Wojtkowiak flew in to Peru and is sailing
with us to Galapagos.
We downloaded 300 photos on Picasa so that should
send you all to sleep!!
When signing the Yacht Club visitors book I was
facinated to see an entry by Tristam Jones who wrote a book telling of his
adventures in sailing from Istanbul to Lake Titicaca whilst breaking the
vertical sailing record! It is a great read and I want to read it again now that
I am familiar with the geography.
