position 54:18N 09:40E at Rensberg in the middle of
the Kiel Canal. We left Burg on Fehlmarn Island early this morning and battled
an unexpected force 7 to circumnavigate the island and enter the canal. If the
bridge had been 2 metres higher or Festina's mast lower we could have saved four
hours! Tomorrow we continue down and out of the canal and try and find a berth
in Cuxhaven
