We left Puerto Eden on Wednesday the 25th and with
favourable weather we decided to get across the Gulf of Penas and back to Canal
Ninualac before the weather changed. We picked up a mooring buoy in Caleta
Chigway near Puyuhuapi on Friday evening at 2030 hrs. We covered 434 nmiles in
56hrs and now have only 200nmiles to go to arrive in Puerto Montt.We have had
problems with dirty fuel and water in the fuel. We also had a problem with
overheating when we found the problem which was blocked filters full of tiny
lobsters!! Tomorrow we leave for Chiloe and hope the boat will behave for the
last leg.
