I got back to San Francisco on Monday 22nd June
having enjoyed the three week rest.I spent time in Holland with Ania, in England
with family and friends,and in Sweden for the Blue Water Rally reunion.My last
position wasn't reported correctly so we have been in Los Angeles for three
weeks!! --sorry.
We had a number of jobs to do before setting sail
for Vancouver and we have been frustrated all week.We had to replace the
mainsail furler motor and on two occasions had a12V sent from UK which doesn't
work well as it is wired for 24V!! Two attempts to recut the mainsail and
getting new injectors from Japan.With luck and a following wind we will be ready
to go Sunday morning.
We have decided to sail offshore and skirt the bad
weather which will give us an angle to sail and make life more confortable
although it will add 150 n miles to the trip.
