So....
The last post was about us getting ready for haul out in Prickly Bay, we had Sunday night in the marina bar at their movie night (Paddington 2 and Battle of the Sexes) which was great.

As those of you on facebook know, Monday we pulled up the anchor, started the engine but had no power and when Martin dived down - no propeller

Thankfully Grenada coastguard is based in the bay so they towed us to the haul out lift. We sent a dive done to see if they could find it but no luck (although h did find a dinner plate Martin had dropped over the side).

We spent two nights on board but got bitten to bits and also had no water so we moved to an apartment close to the boatyard - Cool Runnings after the film - nothing flash but it’s been weird staying ashore. We have watched a lot of CSI and similar on the only free American channel we get on the TV, done some varnishing on the companionway steps and dinghy oars, repaired dinghy leaks and caught up on other jobs.

We had a day out with the Flying crew (David, Lucy and Albert) who hired a car and we went back to the chocolate factory and had a great lunch followed by finally finding one of the waterfalls on the island and paying ‘Mr Supersplash’ to jump off the top.

We have made good friends with the guys in Budget Marine (it’s amazing the things we need when start doing jobs!)

Anyway new prop has arrived on the island, it took a while for it to clear customs - but it finally arrived on Friday and it looks lovely with Tikka’s new Caribbean blue bottom.

It’s Sunday night and we are booked to finally go back in the water tomorrow afte 2 weeks ashore - can’t wait.

Bye for now
