We headed back to Marigot Bay on Wednesday 20th December
with a new and working Victron (as well as a new outboard, and a new oven,
leaving behind a somewhat sick watermaker in need of a new motor). We
arrived and moored on a buoy and popped over to Roots bar where we enjoyed a
couple of drinks in celebration of Fluffy's (the owner) birthday, and Loz became
dinner for the local mosquito population . On Thursday we
managed to squeeze (literally!!) into the marina where Tikka was the smallest
yacht in the whole place as we were surrounded by superyachts.
Then began our week of sailing down to Grenada,
first stop the Pitons, moored in a bay with a lovely lunch at Sugar Beach
Viceroy Resorts. Lots of help from the boat boys in tying to a mooring and
bringing us out fresh baguettes and ice this morning. Today we sailed
across to St Vincent and are currently moored in Wallilabou Bay where they
filmed the first Pirates of the Caribbean film (sadly no Johnny Depp!!).
Had the company of a couple of dolphins briefly on our passage.
Off to Bequia tomorrow and Christmas Day will be on
Canouan.
Will post some pictures once we have a proper internet
connection.
Happy Christmas supermarket shopping - we have the local
boats drift by offering fruit, veg, fish, lobsters - all very
relaxing.
