One of those no option days, just had to take the weather window – which was very marginal – and crack on to cover 23nm and get around Ardnamurchan point. So Mrs Engine put 100% effort into the task and managed her cavitation very well in the 1.5m short steep seas and Mr Hull was extremely tolerant of the violent crashing into wave troughs. The patience of the crew was tested when speed dropped to 2.5 knots and wind approached 30 but tea and biscuits helped. The captain needed therapy which Tim provided and is now recovering well. All in all a successful tulip day.
