Well we passed the Sunda strait at 0300 local time this morning amid a host of ships, car ferries and a thunderstorm with torrential rain - thank goodness AIS can see through rain. Fi was driving while I talked to ships - one of which stopped while two altered course for us while we were hidden in the downpour. Thankfully it soon cleared and the radar came back on stream enabling us to continue our course south. No drama - well a bit - Toby slept through it all - probably just as well. Now anchored 50 m off shore beneath the slopes of Anak Krakatoa - I can feel a walk coming on - after breakfast and a good cup of coffee.
