And so the blog goes on. We’re about 5 nm off the Northern Irish coast heading for Larne. We finally escaped from the Felin marina early yesterday after an unexpected 24 hour battle with a toilet. The trip up to Port St Mary IOM was fast and a bit lumpy, a sure test for sea legs. This morning we left at 0730 in order to catch the tide through Calf Sound after a good night broken only by our Finnish inside neighbours on the Alfred Pier wall suddenly deciding to leave for the Menai strait at midnight. We had a good close reach up until midday when the wind died and so we’re now making best use of the north going ebb to make Larne as a jumping off point for the Mull of Kintyre and Gigha island tomorrow. Sunny skies and a happy crew.
