A wild night and and it didn't give up today.Over the last 24 hours we covered 178nm without even trying - 2 reefs in the main and a couple of rolls in the staysail and we were on a roll. Toby did best with 23 nm on his 9 to midnight watch - he was stoked. Seas got even bigger this afternoon, up to 4m with confused wind wave on top, so we now have 3 reefs in the main and a hankerchief of staysail without much loss in speed. On the downside the watervane on the Monitor sheered as we came off the top of a wave and so we're back on electronic autopilot for the last 640 nm and but it seems to be coping fine. Yovo is a bout a mile away to port and completely disappears behind the waves a they sweep past. Hopfully both wind and seas will ease a little tomorrow. A bit rolly below so its a one pan corned beef hash for supper. All well on board - except for George.
