We just cleared out with the Australian police
ready for a departure to Rodrigues tomorrow morning. It's been a great place to
stop for awhile with excellent snorkling in a tide rip inside the reef - sharks,
big groupers and today dolphins - down side has been the inflated cost of
everything -$50 for laundry negotiated down from an initial $200. Not sure what
these people are on - except benefit from Aus - but they make Malay boonies pale
into insignificance when it comes to money for nothing. Other than that we
wouldn't have missed it for worlds.
Weather looks a bit more settled but we have no
illusions about this being an easy passage. All well on
board.
