A slightly frustrating night of light and very variable winds and reasonable progress.

This morning saw everything from 3 to 9 knots of speed in less than an hour and back to a settled 3 to 4 shortly after.

A big fish bit just as we hit 7.5 knots and bent the rod in half before managing to get away – yes another fisherman’s tale to add to the collection. However the line is still out and we are an ever hopeful crew! 

Seas are flattish and motion not unpleasant as the 5th day of the passage unfolds, the whole crew are in good spirits and Andy is leaping ahead in the card challenge.

All is well aboard and we have 939 miles to go to St Helena.
