A rather special day, it being Tim’s birthday and nephew Andy’s wedding day, and here we are 458 nm from the Azores battling light winds and trying to work out the best strategy to avoid arriving at our destination with headwinds – some hope. So, Tim had a card designed by Marcus and Maria, Fi made rum and raisin pancakes for breakfast, followed by olive and walnut bread and salad for lunch. His present was one of being appointed Time Lord for the day ie he could decide when we lost another hour and adopted GMT –2 hours. He was impressed, well a bit. We had dolphins on the bow at dawn and Joe took some impressive underwater video using the Gopro on an extendable fishing pole, later he went up the mast and took some aerial shots of the boat under sail while we enjoyed calm conditions. The weather is mostly cloudy as we travel under a weak trough between two high pressure areas but, once through we should finally be in winds from the north and able to close reach towards the Azores. All well on board.
