Arrived at Belitung early afternoon on 3rd after
40+ hours motoring - headwinds, adverse current, 12v alternator died but no
rain or lightning so all good. Now changed the alternator for the spare and all
working well again. Phoned a local contact passed on by fellow
cruises on the off chance and he texted us anchorage co ordinates and
arranged diesel and check out etc -brilliant. Wound our way in through visible
reefs and now anchored in good sand not too far off the beach with 2 other
yachts. Alternator now repaired and we should be checked out today for early a/m
departure tomorrow to Krakatoa 260nm. I first sent this when we arrived but it
bounced due to server down whoops
