After 2 pleasant days at anchored off Seisia we are
45 miles out on our way to the Wessel Islands on the western side of the Gulf of
Carpenteria. A smooth trip so far but strong 20-28kt winds are forecast for
tomorrow afternoon. We expect to arrive Tuesday morning.
It was music night at the Seisia fishing club so we
went along to have beer and hamburgers and listen to the local bands and the
feature artist, Seaman Dan. A very friendly well behaved, mixed audience made us
welcome. The following day the Kings, Anne Myers and Sue took the fast ferry
across to Thursday Island. she will give her impressions
later.
