Slow but smooth

Almost cloudless sky today and a moderate swell
have made for a relaxing day. We saw our first ship at lunchtime and passed what
we think was a huge sunfish basking on the surface this afternoon. Southern
Princess is way ahead of us but we must be close to Harmonie and Lady K as we
can hear them on the VHF radio. Our speed is really suffering as the replacement
for our damaged Maxprop is too small. With 2200 revs we can only get 6kts which
is 1.5kts down on the Maxprop. Wind is currently ahead of us.
Bruce who is holidaying in Borneo continues to
provide us with really accurate weather forecasts and he has promised that new
wind will come from the NE this evening which enable is to increase speed and
catch up some time. We are still hoping to get to Opua on Wednesday
afternoon.
