Just 150 miles from the Northern tip of NZ we expect to get to Opua about 24 hours ahead of a southwesterly change which would be seriously uncomfortable if we were still at sea.

We have seen distant whales and we are enjoying cloudless skies and smooth seas. We are even managing to reduce some of our excess wine stocks before we have to face NZ customs. For the first time since we left the Med temperatures have dropped to the point that we need blankets at night and sea boots and warm jackets on watch.
