We are currently anchored at the mouth of the
Lockhart River, 140 miles south of Cape York. There is a barge nearby that
supplies fuel and supplies to the prawn trawlers that we see working up the
coast inside the reef. The very friendly operator tells us that there is an 18ft
salty (crock) in the which is why he stays on his boat... not alongside or
under!
