We spent a few relaxing days in Moorea and even met up with some old friends from the Blue Planet Odyssey rally. There were two boats which had each decided to drop out of the Round the World Rally in order to travel more slowly and to spend more time in paradise.  A great way to end up our journey before the short crossing to Tahiti where we entered the marina in Papeete harbour, right in the centre of town.

This was the end of the road for Lucy and Bungles who left Lovesail after six wonderful months together.  They stepped off the boat to spend a couple of days in a hotel in Tahiti before flying home.  Lucky them, they had tickets for the annual Heiva, polynesian cultural fest of song, dance and sports which had its opening night ceremony on 2 July.  Meanwhile M & E cast off, very sadly, to take LS to the island of Raiatea where we shall lay up the boat until 2016.  An uneventful night crossing of brought us safely to a wet and windy Raiatea.  Now it’s just clean up and pack.  We depart by plane on 12 July and will be back in Jersey shortly after that.
