Last night we altered course to SW and we are now heading for Porvenir, our destination.  We’ve shaped our course to curve around the top of the Colombia low pressure system but we have noticed an increase in the wind and the sea as we skirt around the low, so we are now going faster. If we maintain this speed, we should arrive in Porvenir on Tuesday.  Since it’s a bit bumpy, I’m going to keep this short and just send you some pictures of the local boats, called yoles, racing in Le Marin as we were waiting to start last Sunday.  Good fun, and it put us in the mood for our own start.
