Today is my beloved brother Alastair’s birthday so Happy Birthday Al and
here are a few wild things for you to identify for us please!
We don’t have James Bond’s bird book on board [sadly] and only have the
Collins Bird Guide for Britain and Europe so the identification of these eagles
is a mystery.
When we were on Turtle Island in the Hollandes we came across this
magnificent bird
![]() When we were at Coco Banderos we saw this one
![]() And when we went in search of the perfect swimming beach........
![]() ![]() We were greeted by this, immediately off our bows – a great enormous
crocodile!! Needless to say none of us went swimming.
![]() ![]() We estimate that he was about 3 – 4 metres long with VERY big teeth and a
very long tail topped with pointy bits! Is he a crocodile, an alligator, a
cayman???? Charlotte and Finlay, please can you help us to identify
him?
