Set off at 5:30 am to sail to Italy but changed our mind after a few hours of bashing into a force 5, making slow and uncomfortable progress. Switch to Plan B – divert to Othoni, the last island off-lying from Corfu.  We anchor in the little harbour in sunny and calm conditions, in spite of the blow outside.  Lunch ashore, rest.  Later we work on fitting the wind generator.  Then dinner – champagne to celebrate Elizabeth’s birthday.
