So departure day arrives and for EH01 it is another port, another crew
change. We have been joined by Erica and Paul and we welcome them aboard
our little ship.
A very excited little crew set sail this morning bound we hoped for warmer
climes. The need to speed some time at sea not wearing everything we own
was becoming quite important to some of the crew. Poor George is looking forward
to sitting in the sun smoking his cigar and chilling out as the back of the boat for a change
but to date that has not been the case and he has had a hard job seeing through the driving rain!
So we have made it through the washing machine that is the Straits of Gibraltar and
turned south west bound for the Canary Islands some 660 odd miles away. If we
look left we are closing Casablanca on the west coast of Morocco but sadly there is
no Humphrey Bogart on this little ship!
Whilst I write this our naked bowman Sam is back in the galley playing with fish fillets
again and is about to hand over the batton to me so that I can knock up some couscous
which appears to be a challenge too far!
Watch change and supper - must run!
