Good evening. this is Chris from about 600 miles west of St Lucia. We seem
to be clear of the trough of low pressure which gave us light winds for a
few days. The last 24 hours were our fastest and we are storming west at up
to 12kts in 15 - 25 kt winds under Main and no.1 Genoa. More of the same
forecast for tomorrow and Thursday plus a few squalls. I keep seeing squalls
but the others tell me they are just "rainy clouds" - surely that is a
squall?

Our last fresh onion is history as are the milk and the biscuits. Food is
becoming a tad monotonous. One more night of chilli and we will all qualify
for Mexican passports. Food fantasies are the main subject of conversation.
This trip could easily turn into the Raft of the Medusa.

Having crossed 2500 miles of ocean and survived the best of Rod Stewart on
the skippers' ipod (Liz - your i pod has been a big hit) we are ready for
anything and scheduled to sight land sometime late on Friday 12th December.
