For the first part of the week it has continued to blow old boots with some very strong gusts howling down Admiralty Bay, infamous for the Bequia Blast.  For the last few days the wind has gone down so that it feels like a flat calm although it is still blowing a mere 15 knots.  Needless to say we are not friendless and we joined with four old mates for dinner ashore on Monday.  Otherwise we have been having a quiet time stocking up for the arrival of Graham and Margaret, our guests for the next 10 days who arrived in a light plane from Barbados last evening just managing to land before a rain squall came through.

Catamarans have taken over in the Caribbean - the view from our cockpit in Bequia.

Yesterday was totally overcast with cloud streaming up from South America and the rain showers were moving from West to East which is unheard of.  Normally the showers and squalls come in with the Trade Winds from the East - the weather has been really strange.  However the gurus are predicting idyllic trade wind sailing conditions for the next week, so Graham and Margaret must have a hotline to the Almighty.  We will see if the gurus are right.

Graham and eventually Margaret arrive at Bequia airstrip.
