We finally left Trinidad on Sunday morning at 0400 after a frenetic month getting Oriole refitted.  Decks recaulked, bottom ground off and re-epoxied, free replacement by Andersen of our winch motors, final phase of replacing our saloon head linings, additional battery for the house bank, new DSC VHF, and new computer system for navigation linked to AIS, the newish system which shows the position and identity of ships within about 20 miles.  And that was in addition to all the myriad other jobs to get the boat commissioned. So if anyone wondered why we did not have time to write the web diary this is the reason!

We are now rapidly making our way north to Antigua to meet up with Andrew while Drumbeat, his new yacht,  is in Antigua over Christmas.  He seems delighted with the new job.  They have the owner on board at the moment and were planning to go north, but the weather up there is awful with gales due to a potential late season tropical storm.

Our passage from Trinidad to Grenada was very quiet and after anchoring off Grenada last night we are sailing up through the Grenadines and expect to be in Beqia tonight.  Again very little wind today which is all being diverted north by this storm system.  From next weekend the webdiary should operate normally on a weekly basis with up to date photos!

We are now underway a few miles west of Tyrrel Bay, Carriacou which has this lovely boatyard for yachts and local boats.
We have spoken on the radio, as we were passing, to our favourite dive guide who we will see for some diving on our way south in Feb/March.
