What? no more Virgins.

On Sunday 26th we moved a mile or so to a quiet bay on Norman Island where we met
up with three other yachts (Lorriegray, Willow and Robin) for a barbeque on
the beach. We cooked over charcoal but the song singing accompanied by
guitar and tympani went on for hours around a driftwood fire. Chris was
eulogising about the snorkling and the entire crew were swimming before
breakfast next morning.

Wading ashore at the Baths last week.

We moved back to Marina Cay on Monday where skipper
and mate were treated to dinner by our departing guests.  We were very sorry
to bid them farewell at the airport after a very relaxing time with perfect
weather and great company.
Wednesday was a diving day when our ambitions to dive on the RMS Rhone an
early steamship sunk in a hurricane in 1867 were fulfilled. Often very
crowded we had the place to ourselves and our excellent guides who took us
inside to the eerie darkness of the wreck. The corals now growing on it and
the shoals of fish living there are quite spectacular and it deserves its
reputation as the best wreck dive in the Caribbean.

We met Roly and Consie for dinner on Restless RCC and it was good to see
them again and hear about their trip up the East Coast of the US.
Back across the Anagada Passage on Friday night we are now in Anguilla so
have said goodbye to the Virgins.  It is good to be back in the tranquility
of Anguilla after the often crowded and noisy anchorages in the BVIs. There
is one nationality (not UK and no prizes for guessing)  who cannot enjoy
themselves or do anything quietly!  The weather is now unusually quiet with
virtually no wind today, the Atlantic high pressure being blocked by an
intervening low.
We are very sorry to have missed James' and Cat's wedding this weekend, but
we were there in spirit, with Robert the family representative.
