Position: 18:21.34N 64:34.59W A boat named after Magnum PI’s foil? How cool is that? Meet Higgins. Lagoon catamaran caretaker of Jo and Nick and their three kids; William, Ollie and Millie. We met them last year in St. Lucia and discovered Quest and Higgins have things in common. We’ve been cruising for the same amount of time. We both crossed the Atlantic. Higgins live in Surrey near to where my mum bought her hot tub… coincidences bubbling everywhere.. Here’s the thing though. I’m a bad luck curse on Higgins. In Grenada, Jo broke her hand holding onto her dinghy. Ok, it happens, right? There was a monster swell that day in Prickly Bay. Problem was; I was sitting in her dinghy at the time. I heard her hand crunch. The trauma still haunts me to this day. I wasn’t even the one who broke her hand. If it was, I’m not sure I’d want to see me again.. But more fool me because Higgins arrived in the BVI last week. We’ve long been talking about scuba diving together and lo and behold, they brought some balmy weather with them. So bad luck curse or not, we went diving… just don’t hold your breath.. Cause we’re diving :).. oh crap, hope I haven’t just jinxed it.. Love from Quest and her crew xx               |
