We had some lovely tomato soup in the mountain-top cafe before we came back down. It’s our kind of cafe! Do you like my Inspector Clouseau moustache? We drove back down towards Funchal and saw that the cloud just about lifted. Aren’t the plants pretty here? We went to a garden square with loads of scary dogs and they were all barking at Fin and she kept checking her behind to see if anyone was going to do a sneaky sniff. 

We wanted to tell you too that as well as driving through mountain tunnels here, you get to drive underneath the airport runway. Oh and the longest tunnel we drove through today was 2140 metres long! Ellie thought  that after the rabbits ate everything on Porto Santo, maybe they came here and made all the tunnels! She’s so crazy and we love her...
