Hi everybody,

I tried to send this the other day but it didn't send. We were just out at sea. Even though we've left now I didn't want you to miss the photos of the Catholic chapel at Houat so I'm sending them again. When we went in there it made my skin tingle, it was so pretty and peaceful. And they like to pray for mariners too which Delphine and I feel is an especially good thing!

We found out more about St. Gildas. He was born in the early 500's AD, not in France as we had thought, but in what is now Dumbarton, on the banks of the river Clyde. That's right, he was a Glaswegian! He travelled loads, heading to Ireland with St. Bridget (we could imagine them together in a camper van) and along the Brittany Coast. He even lived on a tiny island in the middle of the Severn for a while, in between spreading the Christian message to his fellow Celts. So as we read this, we all felt happy. It seems that even back then the world was small! He's in the last photo, eh-yooo St. Gildas. Where's your pie and your deep fried Mars Bar?

Write soon,

Lucia and Delpine :)
