Hi everybody,
Things heard on Quest recently:
Delphine: 'I think I might love Skipper now more than Merliah Summers.'
Lulu: 'Poor Merliah. She gets aIopecia and now this.'
Hannah: 'The bad news is that we've just eaten our last piece of fruit.'
John: 'Let the fish run, Jack!'
Jack: 'John, tell me, are we wearing tweed and standing in a river?'
Merliah Summers: 'I wonder if Skipper can swim?'
The captain put a new lure out yesterday afternoon on a reel of quickly diminishing line (current count: caught 7 fish, lost 3 lures) and not long after, the rod began to violently whir. It was a long fight and halfway through, we watched a massive electric blue and yellow dorado jump out of the water! After a while though, we began to wonder how on Earth it was going to fit in the cockpit and the dorado must have wondered the same thing because it took one look at the back of Quest, flicked its head, broke the line in front of us and was gone! Captain says he doesn't mind if we lose every lure this way now. Fish won fair and square and we're confident that John should stop crying by the time we get to Guadeloupe ;)
Making good progress here, less than 500 miles now! This means Poseidon's paying another small visit today (hopefully without the same generous soaking) and pancakes and honey for breakfast!
