Hi everybody,

So here you are, anchored in paradise and the question becomes; what does a person do with themselves all day long in the Caribbean? Kickback, drink piña coladas, work on that tan? You can do all these things of course but for a British-registered yacht, we do something which puts all those options into the shade; we scrape the bottom of the boat and get the microscope out! And the really exciting thing is, so far we've discovered a soft barnacle with black stripes that has fallen in love with Quest during the Atlantic crossing and lots of spiny-looking plankton in the water. John saw a barracuda too yesterday on the reef and Betti saw a brown snakey-thing swimming under their boat. We have to lie down here for Quest is just reeling with nature!

On top of the lagoon, kite surfers skim around in the strong warm winds and even the girls did a spot of paddle boarding yesterday with Betti and Christian. They loved hanging around with people who were in their words, 'cool' and 'young'... The girls liked it too :) Time to get the hair dye out and take painkillers for the sciatica. The Atlantic crossing has left all us crusties nursing our various ailments and sleeping for four hours too long..

Things heard on Quest recently:
John: 'I miss my Samson and need to get home soon.'
Hannah: 'Hi Samson! Thanks for lending us your Dad!'
Jack: 'Samson, bet you didn't know you had a transatlantic sailing dad!'
Lulu: 'Hi Samson, hope you're having fun!'
Delphine: 'Hold on, why are Merliah Summers' hands round Skipper's neck?'
Merliah Summers: 'I'm having fun!'

Love from Quest and crew xx
