It was my Uncle Brian who christened our transatlantic chicken Henrietta all those years ago. Well, he must have had itchy ears because he turned up in Tortola today on the cruise ship Epic. Serendipity is a strange and wonderful thing!

We took him to our favourite Road Town hang out by the marina pool and quizzed him and his partner, Anna about cruise ship life. Over 4000 people on board, Orlando and back again, via the Bahamas tomorrow afternoon. A newsletter every day with a gazillion activities; dance class and treasure hunts, sudoku on the big screen, a theatre larger than the West End. Eat as much as you want and chillax back in your cabin. We listened with our own ears hanging off. The thing is, we have almost permanent cruise ship envy on Quest. Sure, being in the Caribbean for a year compared to a sliver of time doesn’t make sense but there’s no sense in it at all. Waterslides on the top deck? A climbing wall next to the funnels? So so cool.

Safe travels, Brian and Anna! Henrietta would be proud.

Love from Quest and her crew xx
