We walked to the lighthouse, after Fin had finished rolling around in the sand. The lighthouse glows red at night and is built on top of a tower. Under the tower, it looks as though there was some kind of a prison. You can’t go inside but we took a photo from the barred gate. There were lots of little rooms with wooden doors and locks. Delphine met some strange people outside (see next photo) and then we walked to another set of houses nearby. These houses were boarded up but they seemed very nice and we couldn’t help think that if these houses were in the UK, they’d all have For Sale signs and probably be going for a million pounds!.
Then we came back to the boat and I want to tell you now that we’ve discovered every afternoon the wind gets strong and then dies away again at night time. It makes the dinghy ride back to Quest like a ride in the fun park! We were all fine though, we’re getting good at travelling dinghy-style.
Well, also I need to tell you that after over a week, we’re going to the mainland. We called the marina at Port Haliguen and they're expecting us tomorrow afternoon. We will write from there.
