A cold front is passing through the Bahamas. Normally the winds blow from the east and there are plenty of protected places to anchor, A cold front brings higher winds that clock around through the west. There are fewer places to ride out the higher west winds a cold front brings.

Yesterday we had the choice we of moving to a new port and hoping to find a secure place to ride out the high winds or to stay in Warderick Wells which offers good protection from the west. We decided not to move. It looks like we’ll be here until Saturday or Sunday. All in all this is not a bad place to be.
