We’re moving south about as fast as we can. Tonight we are in Georgetown SC anchored in an overcrowded anchorage.  We are out of the winds – a good thing since they are blowing close to 20 knots. Today was a full day. We covered 60 miles starting at 7:15 AM and ending at 6 PM We also stopped long enough to fill the fuel and water tanks so are good to go.

Yesterday’s stop was dictated by the location of the anchorage. It was the last one for 30 miles so everyone stopped there. Again a 20 boat anchorage and we’re getting so we recognize most of the boats.

Here’s what Georgetown looks like from the water – we don’t plan to get any closer.

One of the things about motoring in the ICW is all the things that have to be avoided. A short list includes sticks and logs, floats marking crab pots and birds that look like floats, and of course the bottom. Now I have to add one more obstacle that was out for a swim.
