Fort William

A quiet day in Corpach Sealock, our final day within our Caledonian Canal 7 day licence.

This was quite a useful chance to catch up with ‘boat admin’ (diesel, water, shopping, laundry) plus Harry had a zoom call this evening so it was easier to remain here.

Below (hopefully) are yesterday’s photos of our visit to the Commando’s Memorial at Spean Bridge, with fabulous visibility for absolutely miles around with the stunning highlands stretching off in all directions, plus photos of Ben Nevis dominating the town of Fort William.

Today the top of Ben Nevis is back in mist!

We are booked into the first lock opening in the morning and stop at the Town pontoon for a ‘short stay’ for Harry to get to the train station. He’s returning to Warwick University for a 2 month research project; time for us to begin our journey south.
