Day II Gale bound in Ouistreham

Today has been very windy again with 35 knots in the Channel and 40 knots due tomorrow so we will stay put on Wednesday as well. Bol and Harry walked along the beach but didn't stay long as it was one giant sandstorm.

On a lighter note, after Saturday's formal ceremony on the beach by the Commando Memorial we spotted this sentence in the Tourist Office booklet of events for Saturday in Ouistreham:  "J’écris ton nom … SWORD vue du ciel » le grand rassemblement du Samedi 6 Juin sur la plage de Ouistreham Riva-Bella".  Curiosity led me to find out what was going on and after searching the internet today I finally found the photo on Ouistreham Facebook page (attached) that was taken of 500 people standing on the sand marking the giant letters SWORD.  It was taken by a GoPro camera on a kite, I was on 'R'!

This afternoon more Airfix, times tables and 'Swallows and Amazons'.  Isabelle was pleased with this giant leaf she found!
