The engine on TC has had a lot more use on our trip than I ever expected and so today I spent much of the morning tinkering and checking various parts. Initially, all was going well, but as always one part refused to give up without a fight and it took me over an hour to change an internal anode. Now all is well and the new anode will protect the engine until we are back in the UK.

Everywhere we go in Gibraltar we are surrounded by naval history. This afternoon we went for a walk around some of the local sites. Even the marina is surrounded by old guns sitting on carriages, which the children love climbing over.
Not far along the road is the Trafalgar cemetery where many of the wounded who subsequently died were buried after the battle and statues of famous sailors and soldiers seem to be around every corner and in every square.

This evening we were invited to our friends Theresa and Lewis on the yacht 'Spiral', for an excellent meal and very good company. I am now under a lot of pressure from Harry to buy a big fishing reel similar to the one Lewis has attached to the guard rail on the back of his boat.
