Vila Real de San Antonio
Leaving Alcoutim this morning felt like the end of a blissful holiday where
the sun has shone and everything has worked out well. So it helped us when the
rain began to fall soon after bringing up the anchor, we didn’t feel so bad
about leaving!
We had an easy journey down the river to the town at the entrance where we
have stopped overnight in a marina, next door to a very friendly Brit.
With diesel, petrol and food all now stocked up, we had hoped to sail to
Faro in the morning but sadly the weather forecast looks awful with solid rain
and lots of wind throughout tomorrow so we are postponing our departure until
Friday and will spend the day here.
Harry cheered up when we agreed to make Chocolate Fudge which he found in
the recipe book, so tomorrow doesn’t look so bad after all.
